What to Eat and What to Avoid for the 21st Century
Sandra Storwick
Sunday, November 20
2:00-4:00 pm
One hundred years ago, as long as you ate regularly, you had a good chance of living a long and healthy life. All the food was organic, and not frozen, canned, irradiated, genetically modified, sprayed with chemical pesticides, raised with chemical fertilizers, micro waved; no yellow #5, red #40, not kept for 15 years in storage, no hormones, antibiotics, dioxins, added msg . . . . Now to maintain good health, one must be a much more judicious consumer. In this workshop we will discuss some of the pitfalls of the modern diet, and gently encourage ourselves to choose change. Bring information on your favorite food discovery to share with the group, either a great food brand or product, or a story that helped inspire you to make better food choices.
